SHAKE


SoutH Asia EarthquaKE Network (SHAKE) is a multi-national joint initiative to encourage a regional structured approach to seismic risk mitigation, leading to reduced monetary losses and casualties. It has been created to bring the experts from the seismically vulnerable south Asian countries on a common platform. The focus of SHAKE is on the earthquake forecasting, and vulnerability and risk assessment of the infrastructure in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh using state of the art technologies. SHAKE was formed in 2012 with the help of International Centre for Theoretical Physics at Trieste, Italy and includes expert members from Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
